MinePersist

MinePersist prevents block-breaking progress from resetting when you switch the item in your hand. In vanilla Minecraft, changing hotbar slots (scroll wheel / number keys) interrupts mining and the block damage progress is lost. With this mod, you can continue mining the same block from where you left off.

Features

• Keeps mining progress when switching items/tools mid-break
• Resumes progress when you continue breaking the same block
• Client + server support for consistent behavior and correct visuals
• No speed exploits: progress is stored as a percentage (0–100%), not as elapsed time, so switching to a faster tool does not retroactively speed up earlier progress

How it works (high level)

• When block breaking is interrupted (e.g., by changing the held item), the mod stores the current breaking progress for that block.
• When you start breaking the same block again shortly after, the mod restores that stored progress and continues from that point.
• A small timeout prevents progress from being kept indefinitely if you walk away or switch targets.

Recommended to install on both client and server:

• Server: ensures the actual breaking logic continues correctly
• Client: ensures the crack animation/visual progress does not reset
